Fence Removal in Northern Colorado
Old fence falling apart? We remove wood fences, chain link, vinyl, and iron fencing — posts and all — and leave your property line clean and ready for a new fence or open yard.
Fences take a beating in Colorado. Sun, wind, snow, freeze-thaw cycles — after 15–20 years, most wood fences are leaning, rotting at the base, and losing boards. Chain link gets bent and saggy. Even vinyl fences crack and discolor over time.
Fort Collins Junk Removal and Demo removes entire fences — panels, posts, concrete footings, gates, hardware, everything. We haul it all away and leave your property line clean. Whether you’re replacing with a new fence or opening up your yard, we handle the full removal.
We remove fences for homeowners getting new fences installed, property managers clearing lot lines, and contractors who need old fencing gone before starting new work. We coordinate with your fence installer’s timeline so there’s no gap in service.
Types of Fencing We Remove
Wood Privacy Fencing
Cedar, pine, pressure-treated — full panel removal, post extraction, and concrete footing removal. We handle 4ft, 6ft, and 8ft privacy fences of any length.
Chain Link Fencing
Fabric, posts, top rails, tension wire, gates — complete chain link removal. Including concrete footings if needed. Common for backyard fences, dog runs, and commercial perimeters.
Vinyl & Composite
PVC vinyl, composite, and Trex fencing removed panel by panel. Posts and footings pulled. Vinyl fencing is recyclable and we dispose of it properly.
Iron & Metal Fencing
Wrought iron, aluminum, steel panel fencing, and decorative metal gates. We cut posts at grade or pull them with footings depending on your needs.
Fence Removal Questions
How much does fence removal cost?
Fence removal pricing is based on linear footage, material type, and whether posts/footings need extraction. Typical range: $3–$8 per linear foot. A standard 150-linear-foot backyard wood fence runs $500–$1,000. Chain link is usually less. We provide exact quotes after seeing the fence.
Do you remove the posts and concrete?
Yes — by default we pull posts and concrete footings. If your new fence installer wants posts left at a certain height (cut at grade), we can do that instead. Just let us know your fence contractor’s preference.
Can you remove just part of a fence?
Absolutely. Partial removal is common when you’re keeping one section (like a side yard) and replacing another (like the back). We cut clean transitions at the posts you want to keep.
How quickly can you remove a fence?
Most residential fences (100–200 linear feet) take 3–5 hours. We can often schedule within the same week. If your fence contractor is coming Monday, call us the week before and we’ll have it clear.
